Shipping-Container House Study

Residential Concept study
This study of a house built from shipping containers looks at how an industrial module can become a full, cosy home. The concept rests on a clever layout where nothing is wasted on the small footprint and every element does two jobs. A dark facade lets the house blend into the surrounding greenery and moves a container building away from looking temporary, toward considered architecture. Generous glazing and long windows open the interior to nature and make it feel larger. The interior combines timber, dark surfaces and bold colour accents; blue and orange liven up an otherwise restrained palette. Kitchen, living and work zones are compact but never cramped — light and the view keep them airy. The visualisation shows that modular, affordable living can also be designed, comfortable and contemporary.
