Apartment Renovation, Brno

The renovation of this Brno apartment is built on a strong contrast: dark matte surfaces against warm walnut and pale flooring. We wanted to give the flat a bold, contemporary character that still stays pleasant for everyday life. The kitchen is in a dark matte finish with timber details and integrated appliances; it reads as clean and refined. The living area leads on to a work nook and an entrance zone with a walnut wall and bench that combines storage with a designed detail. A deep green upholstered chair and the arched-motif tiling in the bathroom bring personality to an otherwise muted palette. The rooms are worked out so they sit visually with one another.
