Two-Room Apartment, Jahodové Sady

For this compact two-room apartment the priority was calm and light. We started from a white kitchen, pale oak flooring and natural materials that let the space breathe and keep it from dating in a few seasons. The living area, open to the kitchen and dining space, is where it all centres. Rattan shades, an upholstered sofa in earthy tones and soft textiles give the flat its warmth and an at-home feel. The piece that draws the eye is the sideboard with its sculpted diagonal facing — a hand-made detail that adds character without taking over. Storage is built in and kept out of sight, so the apartment stays tidy in daily use. The bedroom carries the same materials, muted colours and indirect light, so it stays a place to genuinely rest in. The flat never reads as small. It is considered, comfortable, and above all good to live in.
