Renovation of a Bata Half-House

The brief for this Baťa half-house was simple: keep the character of the house, but give it a calmer, present-day feel. We worked with natural veneer, a warm palette and quiet lines that let the original proportions read clearly. Opening up the living area lets the kitchen, dining space and lounge hold together as one. Built-in storage and considered lighting do most of the work here; the detailing sharpens the space rather than dressing it up. The house keeps its memory and gains a setting that simply works for everyday life.
